Clare is a Managing Director & COO for Macquarie Capital in the Europe, Middle East and Africa. Ms Mckeeve joined Macquarie in 2011 and has over 14 years of advisory experience covering several leading Private Equity firms in Europe as well as family offices. She also represented investors in key Boards tied to principal investments. Until recently, Ms Mckeeve was a Partner at Aletheia Partners LLP, advising on mandates with an enterprise value in excess of €5 billion since 2002, covering media and consumer industries primarily in Germany and the UK. Additionally, Ms Mckeeve has been particularly active in raising €3.4 billion of debt capital for clients. The Enterprise Value of principal investments was €2.1 billion (with an investment return of 3.9x on invested capital). Prior to Aletheia Partners, Ms Mckeeve worked in the Private Equity Group at KPMG, part of the original team to establish this new unit for the partnership covering 13 private equity houses in Europe

Dr. Persio Arida, Ph.D. is Partner of BTG Pactual Group. He serves as the Chairman of Asset Management and Managing Partner for Banco BTG Pactual S.A. and BTG Pactual, Asset Management Arm. Dr. Arida also serves as Co-Head of the Asset Management Business Unit of Banco BTG Pactual.
Dr. Arida worked in a variety of roles in the private and public sectors. He served as the Governor and President of the Central Bank of Brazil in 1995 and served as Deputy President of the Central Bank in 1986. Dr. Arida also served as the President at National Economic and Social Development Bank (BNDES) from 1993 to 1994. He served as Special Secretary of Social-Economic Coordination, Ministry of Planning since 1995, Budget and Management from 1985 to 1986. He served as Special Adviser for the Presidency of Brasil Warrant Ltda. from 1987 to 1993.
He served as a Director of the Central Bank of Brazil since 1986. Dr. Arida served as a Director of Banco Itaú Holding Financeira S.A. and Banco Itau S.A. from 2001 to February 2009.
Dr. Arida was a professor of economics at the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and at the University of Sao Paulo. In addition, Dr. Arida was a researcher at the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton University, a fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington, D.C. and a senior research fellow at the Oxford Centre for Brazilian Studies at Oxford University. Dr. Arida has received numerous awards and has published several papers and edited books. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the University of Sao Paulo.
Charles Robertson - Global Chief Economist, Renaissance Capital
Charles Robertson, a leading emerging markets specialist, is Renaissance Capital's Global Chief Economist and Head of the Firm's Macro-strategy Unit. Manoj Pradhan is a Global Emerging Markets Economist at Morgan Stanley. He has served on the faculty of the economics departments at the State University of New York (Stony Brook) and the George Washington University in Washington DC from 1998 to 2004.

Keyu Jin is a lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the London School of Economics. Her field of expertise is international macroeconomics, international finance, and the Chinese economy. Her main research has focused on the impact of trade and financial frictions on global imbalances and global asset prices, trade and growth in emerging markets, and the impact of Chinese government policies in trade on national productivity. She is also a research associate of CEPR. From Beijing, China, she holds a B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. from Harvard University.
Marco Arcelli - Executive Vice President of the Upstream Gas Division, Enel
Marco is Executive Vice President of the Upstream Gas Division of Enel, overseeing assets and investments in Russia, Egypt, Algeria and Italy, since June 2009. Previously he was Head of Business Development, M&A and Operations Support of the International Division from 2006 to 2009. From 2005 to 2006 he was General Director and Vice Chairman of the Board of Slovenske Elektrarne. Mr. Arcelli‘s experience in Slovakia was the subject of an IESE management case study published in 2010. From 2003 to 2005 he was President and CEO of Enel North America, a leading renewable energy company with over 70 renewable energy plants in the US and Canada. From 2001 to 2003 he was Executive Assistant to the CEO of Enel. Before joining Enel he held several positions with General Electric in the US and Italy, and was a project manager and a dispute resolution manager in London, San Francisco and Copenhagen.

Michel Danechi is a partner at Armajaro Asset Management. Having traded in emerging markets for over 15 years, Mr. Danechi brings a vast amount of knowledge and contacts to the Armajaro Emerging Markets Fund. Most recently, Mr. Danechi was hired by Lehman Brothers International (Europe) in London to build and head up the emerging markets equities team. The team managed the bank's equity derivatives and cash portfolio, mainly in Russia, Greece, South Africa, Israel, Middle East, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and Turkey. Under his leadership, Lehman emerged with a strong presence in emerging markets. Stefan Wagstyl - Emerging Markets Editor, Financial Times (chair)
Stefan Wagstyl is the FT's Emerging Markets Editor, and is one of the UK's most famous emerging market journalists. He has been covering emerging markets for over 20 years, and was previously the FT's Editor for Central and Eastern Europe, New Delhi Bureau Chief, and Tokyo Bureau Chief. Mr. Wagstyl currently also writes the beyondbrics blog on FT.com. He graduated from Cambridge with First Class BA Honours in History in 1979. After working as an intern at Barclays Bank in 1975-76 in credit analysis, his first job in journalism was as a reporter for the Coventry Evening Telegraph ,(1979-82). He joined the Financial Times in 1983 as a financial reporter and has covered various positions including metals and mining correspondent, Tokyo correspondent and Bureau Chief (1987-92), New Delhi Bureau Chief (1992-95), and industrial editor (1996-98).

Douglas Clayton founded Leopard Capital in 2007, and has over 25 years' experience in emerging markets investments. As a senior executive at CLSA Securities, Indosuez WI Carr Securities, and Kerry Securities, he managed investment teams in Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, New York City, Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina, and Chile. Anthony is a Partner in Transaction Services and Head of Oil & Gas in EMEA. He is responsible for co-ordinating the delivery of all the Oil & Gas services in EMEA. This involves agreeing the strategy for this sector and engaging in thought leadership. Recent publications by Mr. Lobo include "Key Issues for Rising NOC's" and the "The funding dilemma for NOC's". He also recently contributed to a recent Chatham House report "What Next for the Oil & Gas Industry". Mr. Lobo has over the past 10 years worked with many of the leading NOC's such as Petronas, Qatar Petroleum, emerging NOC's in Africa, CNOOC and Sinopec on many landmark deals including CNOOC's recent acquisition of Nexen for USD 15.1 billion.

Marisa Drew is a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division of Credit Suisse, based in London. She is Co-Head of the Global Markets Solutions Group ("GMSG"). GMSG encompasses all of the financing products and financing advisory businesses within the Investment Banking Department, including Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Leveraged Finance Origination and Restructuring, Corporate Derivatives and other Structured Products, Liability Management and Ratings Advisory.
Ms. Drew is a member of the Investment Banking Department’s Management Committee and Co-Chairs the GMSG Global Operating Committee. She also sits on Credit Suisse's Global Leadership Committee, and also on the Investment Banking Division’s Management Committee and the EMEA Operating Committee. Prior to joining Crossbridge Capital, Mr. Singh was with Societe Generale Private Banking (SGPB) Hambros Bank Ltd, London as Investment Director from 2008-2011. In this role he managed over USD400m in bespoke and advisory portfolios covering multi asset classes, alternative investment and structured products. He also chaired the asset allocation committee of SG Hambros VolCap fund, AUM over USD200m. Amlan Roy is Managing Director and Head, Global Demographics and Pensions Research for the Investment Banking Division of Credit Suisse in London. His research links Global Demographics and Pensions to economic growth, inflation, asset prices, pensions, sectoral allocation, health, migration and insurance. He presents to a global client base (across 35+ countries) that includes fund managers, hedge funds, insurance companies, pension funds, governments and central banks. Dr Roy also speaks at 40-50 global conferences annually. He is a Senior Research Associate of The London School of Economics' Financial Markets Group and guest professor for London Business School's Finance department.
In a previous role at Credit Suisse as a Global Emerging Markets strategist, Dr Roy developed multi-country Risk & Allocation models used by institutional clients, government treasury departments and central banks. He also served as an expert on Financial Architecture/Crises Modelling at the Bank of England, IMF and UK Treasury.

Paul Appleby - Head of Energy Economics, BP Group Economics Team
Paul Appleby leads the analysis of long term energy market developments for BP. His career at BP spans 28 years, and includes a variety of roles in BP’s gas and alternative energy businesses. Most recently he was the custodian of the investment appraisal process for BP’s gas, power and renewables businesses worldwide.
He received his theoretical training in economics at Cambridge University (MA and MPhil); and served a practical apprenticeship as a Fellow of the Overseas Development Institute, posted to Malawi. He is an associate lecturer in energy economics at the University of Surrey, and a member of the Council of the British Institute of Energy Economics.
